Challenge for June

"Have you stopped to listen today?"

When the day is very busy we listen to each other a lot less.

Daragh was talking but I didnt really hear the message. He has been complaining for a while about going to school. Today I stopped and listened to him and started asking questions. We know now that he feels concerned about going to the toilet at school and cleaning himself well afterwards. We discussed solutions and agreed to leave a pack of wet wipes in the toilet in his classroom for everyone to use if they feel they need to.

Tomorrow he is looking forward to going to school because I took the time to really listen.

The challenge for June is to stop an really listen.
